Tailored to Your Pup

​After graduating from the University of Washington School of Law and passing the bar exam to become a licensed attorney, I did a major career pivot to start training dogs full-time. Before moving to Monterey in April 2025, I served as the Head Trainer at Zoom Room Seattle, taught workshop series at Four Paw Sports Center, and volunteered on the Dog Behavior Team at Seattle Animal Shelter. 

I am a certified dog trainer, CPDT-KA, an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, and a Certified Trick Dog Instructor. I have experience working with aggression, reactivity and behavior modification cases as well as teaching obedience, agility, scent work, tricks, rally obedience, rally freestyle, and treibball.

Locally, I volunteer weekly with the SPCA Monterey TLC dogs and on the Peace of Mind Dog Rescue Behavior and Enrichment team. In my free time, you can find me with my Samoyed dog, Ghost, at various local running clubs, beaches, breweries, and hiking trails.

As your trainer, I hope to work together to develop individualized training plans and achieve functional solutions that fit with your family. I teach using positive reinforcement, force-free, rewards-based methods. I have experience training dogs of all ages, breeds, and sizes. Whether you have questions about how best to train your new puppy, are interested in learning about dog sports and enrichment, or need to tackle a more complex behavioral issue, please reach out. I am offering 60 minute private lessons to train in your home, on a walk around your neighborhood, or meeting in a convenient local park or dog-friendly public space of your choosing.
